In association with Christchurch City Council, 4YP runs a series of events to promote community development in Christchurch and facilitate positive outcomes for youth. In consultation local young people and youth workers, 4YP designs and implements a variety of events and projects such as life skills camps, weekly band performances through to large outdoor youth events.

	To create, provide and facilitate events that meet the needs of the diverse range of cultures and lifestyles of young people.
	To involve young people in the planning and delivery of quality events
	To act as a catalyst for other youth entertainment initiatives
	To assist community organisations wishing to create and deliver youth entertainment
	To effectively promote entertainment opportunities
	To continually consult with young people on their entertainment needs
	To reduce barriers to participation where possible
